1851 - Aged 32?? (Pawnbroker) at 41 Canal St, Stalybridge.spouse: Bullock, Robert (~1812 - 1879)
Mary Lawton, born 1813 married Robert Bullock January 28, 1833, Stockport (I assume St. Mary's). Info from BVRI. Census info on Mary Lawton Bullock as follows: 1841 UK Census, age 25, living Cross St., Dukinfield, Cheshire, UK. No husband with her. Also has an Ann Bullock, age 15, too old to be her daughter.
1851 UK Census, age 37, living 8 John St., Dukinfield, Cheshire, UK.
1861 UK Census, age 47, living 79 Canal St., Dukinfield, Cheshire, UK.
1871 UK Census, age 57, living @ No.13 Brierley Street, Castle Hall, Stalybridge, Cheshire, UK. Also has grandson, Jonathan Bullock, age 11.
I was only able to find her because Asenath Lawton died at No.8 John Street., Dukinfield on Dec. 7, 1853. I located the address in the 1851 census and found the Bullock family. I checked the BRVI and found that Mary Lawton married Robert Bullock. They had the following children:
John Bullock born 1834 Dukinfield.
Jonathan Bullock born 1835 Dukinfield.
William Bullock born 1838 Dukinfield.
Hannah Bullock born 1841 Dukinfield.
I'll let you know if I have additional information.Occupation -

I have now verified that this Mary Lawton was the daughter of Jonathon & Sarah Lawton. (Confirmed by Rochdale BMD Registry through Marriage Register) -spouse: Lees, Joseph (~1827 - 1894)
Conjecture! - However! there appears to be a big time gap of 12 years between the birth of ANNA LAWTON in 1815 and then MARY LAWTON in 1827 - (12 years). Could it be that MARY was the illigitimate child of one of Jonathons daughters, who was raised as a daughter (Seems Plausible) - In fact CATHERINE would have been old enough to be MARY'S mother aged 19 years, and seeing how they remain in close releationship throughout life it seems quite possible.. - The Baptism Register at St. George's Church, Mossley records this MARY LAWTON - Daughter of Jonathan Lawton and wife "LUCY" of Stayley. Perhaps just a transcription error - but who knows?
This could well be the 'Mary' that was present at the death of Father Jonathon and registered his death on the 4th March 1849. - She Married Joseph Lees of Thurston Clough, Saddleworth at Rochdale in 1850.

NOTE: I am quite certain that this is Mary Lawton daughter of Jonathan and Sarah (Sally) Lawton of Stayley - I consider the Vicar made a transcription error in recording "Lucy' instead of Sally. - I cannot find any record of a Jonathan & Lucy Lawton in my DatabaseCensus - [date: 1841] [place: Valley Mills, Wrigley Fold, Matley, Stayley, Cheshire.]

Marriage Note
We have found the entry you refer to for Joseph LEES and Mary LAWTON. It states Saddleworth as the address.
With regards to Mary's father, it seems a little confusing as Jonathan is a farmer, not John. - Catherine Lawton was not a witness.
On Mary's age there is a slight difference but Joseph is 24 which matches what you state with his birth being in 1851
When Joseph LEES married Mary LAWTON on the 3rd January 1851 at St Chad's Church, Rochdale, he was 24 years old, a Bachelor, a Spinner, he lived at Saddleworth and his father Daniel LEES was a weaver. Mary LAWTON was 25 years old, a spinster, she lived at Saddleworth and her father Jonathan LAWTON was a farmer. By banns. Both signed with a X. Witnesses were James CLEGG (X) and Hannah CLEGG (X).

1851 - Aged 12 years (Scholar) at 41 Canal Street, Stalybridge. with Widower father Robert Lawton (40) living with Grandparents Jonathon & Asenath Lawton.
Mary Lawton was born Nov. 29, 1838. She was the daughter of Robert Lawton and Ann Higginbottom. She was born at Rassbottom, Stalybridge. Her father was an overlooker at the time. (I have birth cert. if you'd like a copy.) You have Mary Lawton as the daughter of Robert Lawton and Mary Simpson. I don't know if this Robert Lawton was married to Mary Simpson. You have Mary Lawton at the right place in 1851 with her grandparents and father at 41 Canal St., Dukinfield. She was apparently enumerated twice in 1851. She was also enumerated at 51 Cross Leech St., Dukinfield with her father (her age is wrong). Her census information is as follows: 1841 UK Census, age 2, living Tame St., Dukinfield, Cheshire, UK with Jane Higginbottom, probably her grandmother.1851 UK Census, age 12, living 41 Canal St., Dukinfield, Cheshire, UK, with grandparents and father, widower. Also listed again.
1851 UK Census, age 18, living 51 Cross Leech St., Dukinfield, Cheshire, UK. (Age is wrong.)
1861 UK Census, age 22, living 21 and 23 Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, UK.
1871 UK Census, age 32, living 23 Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, UK.
1881 UK Census, age 41, living 1 Sackville St., Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, UK.
Mary married Thomas Wood on June 6, 1859 at St. Michael's, Ashton-under-Lyne. (I have marriage cert. if you'd like a copy.) They had 4 children: Robert James, born 1860; Thomas Wood, born 1863; Ann born 1866; and Arthur born 1872.
You have Mary Lawton listed a second time with her marriage to Thomas Wood.
I'll let you know if I find additional Lawton information.
