Charles Sansum married Mary Fisher 17 Apr 1793spouse: Fisher, Mary Brooks \ (~1775 - )
- Wife of Frederick Sansum - Signed Marriage Register as a Witness to the Marriages of James Edward John Sanum and Mary Ann Attersley in 1818 and also Samuel William Sansum to Elizabeth Wintle in June 1815.spouse: Sansum, Ferdinand William Augustus Fredersick (1791 - 1853)
- This 'KITTY SANSUM' - Died as a Baby aged just over 1 month, at Aldgate, London.
- NOTES: - Great-Great- Great Grandmother of #1 - John Trevor Lawton - Sister of James Edward John Sansumspouse: (I), John Clempson Browne (1788 - 1839)
- All Hallows Church, Staining, Middlesex - Having examined in detail the Trabscripts and Actual Baptism Register for All Hallows, there is no reference to this MARY SANSUM, whereas all her Siblings were Baptised at this Church between the Years 1790 & 1795 there is no reference to MARY.
- 1841 UK Census - Searched everywhere and cannot locate MARY (Sansum) BROWNE anywhere as yet. - Husband John Clempson Browne passed away in March 1839, so Mary would be a Widow aged 49, and her Daughter Frances may still have been living with her, as Frances didn't get married until 1843. - Son John Clempson Browne didn't marry until 1848, and I have him living at Vauxhall Walk, whilst daughter Aretia was somewhere up in Yorkshire, perhaps working in Service. - I shall persevere and keep searching.
I am now more inclined to think that this Mary (Sansum) Browne, may have pre-deceased husband John Clempson Browne, even though I cannot find any facts to substantiate this. In the 1841 UK Census, I cannot find any records for Mary Browne, or her remaining children who should have been at home, that is, John Clempson Browne (Married 1848), Frances Ann Browne (Married 1843), and Areita Browne (Married 1844). None of the children can be readily located in 1841, I have John Clempson Browne as being at Vauxhall Walk, in Kennington, and consider that I found him living with Henry or Harry Samsone and wife Matilda, although the presence of Eliza Browne complicates this finding (See notes on 1841 Census)

- 1841 Census - Betty Schofield is not found at Sandbed, Dale, Delph, with rest of family - but there is an Elizabeth Schofield aged 15 years living with Joseph, Mary, and Sarah Bottomley at Roughtown, Saddleworth, who fits very well with the likelyhood of being this 'Betty Schofield'. I need to verify if these 'Bottomley's were in fact the siblings of Ann (Bottomley) Schofield.

The Daughter of William Schofield and his wife Ann (Bottomley) Schofield of Delph Barn at Sandbed, Delph, Saddleworth. - Eliza Schofield was born at Quickview, Roughtown, Lydgate, Saddleworth, on the 28th July 1843 and Christened at (Not yet found) - Eliza Schofield was the 10th Child of 13 Children born to William and Ann (Bottomley) Schofield and the first child to born at Quickview, Lydgate. - The previous Nine children having been born at Delph Barn, Sandbed, Delph, Saddleworth. - A further Three children were born at Quickview between the years 1844 and 1848 - Several children having died as infants.
At the 1851 Census - Eliza was Aged 8 at Quick View, Lydgate, Saddleworth.
At the 1861 Census - Eliza was Aged 17 (Cotton Reeler) at Stockport Rd, Quickview, Mossley,
At the 1871 Census - Aged 27 @ No.15 Spring Street, Roughtown, Mossley, Saddleworth.
At the 1881 Census - Aged 38 at Stockport Road, Quickview, Roughtown.
At the 1891 Census - Eliza was aged 48 at No.13 Roman Street, Carr Hill, Roughtown.
Eliza Schofield, married William Alfred Lawton on the 23rd June 1861 when she was only 18 years of age, at St. Chad's Parish Church, Uppermill, Saddleworth, Yorkshire. Whilst she was living at Stockport Road, Quickview, Roughtown, - After their marriage the couple resided at No.15 Spring Street, Brookfields, Roughtown, Mossley, Saddleworth.
Eliza (Schofield) Lawton - Must have lived a tragic married life, as she gave birth to 13 children within a 20 year period, nine of whom died either as babies or in infancy. Only Four Children (Two males and two females) survived and married.
Eliza (Schofield) Lawton - Died on the 18th March 1894 according to the details on Death Certificate No. 182 - Registration District of Saddleworth in the Sub-District of Oldham. Aged 50 years, of Bronchitis, the Wife of William Alfred Lawton (Yeast Dealer) at No.13 Roman Street, Carr Hill, Roughtown, Mossley. (Death was Registered on the 18th March by Arthur Smith, Registrar) - However! The Sexton of St. Chad?s Church, who checked the Card Files of the Church Graveyard Burials, reported the records state the Eliza Lawton was Buried on the 10th March 1894 in Grave No. 331 in the new Graveyard at Gellfield Lane site. - I would prefer to believe the St. Chad?s Burial Register records, as the Death Certificate states that the Death was registered on the 18th March 1894, so it is extremely unlikely that her death was registered on the same day that she died, which according to the register was the 18th March 1894, more likely that Eliza actually died on the 8th March 1894 and was buried on the 10th March 1894, with the death being registered in Oldham on the 18th March 1894. Whatever!

NOTES on ISAAC SCHOFIELD - (1788 -spouse: Wood, Jane (~1803 - )
The Issac Schofield recorded here was Born: Abt 1807 and not 1788....
- Not sure if this is a child of John & Mary of Broad Meadow.- Needs verification!
Radcliffe Baptism Register has this Child named JOHN and not JAMES - Son of John Scholefield and wife Mary of New Tame - Not Broad Meadow
NOTES on JAMES SCHOFIELD (1760-1830)spouse: Whitworth, Alice (1762 - 1826)
Think this James is rather the son of James & Alice from Arthurs born 1761, also a Joseph and Ann at Arthurs at the same time with a son Isaac,
Baptism Register 14th Jun 1811 has both John & Joseph Schofield as son's of John & Hannah Schofield of Whitelee, Lane Head, Friezland.
Died aged 10 months at Bank Top, Saddleworth Church.
- NOTES on JAMES SCHOFIELD (1829 - 1831)

Then a subsequent male child was born in April/May of 1831 who was also named JAMES SCHOFIELD who only survived a few days and was buried at St. Thomas (Heights) Graveyard on 22nd May 1831.
