Cpuld be the daughter of Thomas & Betty Lawton of Quick.

In the Baptism Records at Holy Trinity Church in Dobcross, Violet Lawton who was baptised on the 26th September 1827 is recorded as the illigitmate daughter of Amelia Lawton (Spinster) of Quick, Saddleworth.

Widow Amelia Lawton is found in the 1841 Census at Baguley Hill, Brookbottom, Saddleworth, aged 40 years and living with her are her two children Samuel (15) and Violeta (14) - It appears that this Amelia (Milly) Lawton may have married William Hulley at St. Mary's Parish Church, Oldham in 1842 , and William Hulley died in 1845, so by the 1851 Census Amelia is a Widow, back living with her son Samuel and wife Jane at Quick, Mossley, Saddleworth.

There was a William Hulley born 31st June 1811 @ Oxhey, Friarmere, son of John & Betty Hulley, which would equate to William Hulley being aged 34 years at his Death in 1845.

Lawton, Esther (Roberts) (~1786 - ) - female
b. Abt 1786 in Delph, Saddleworth, Yorkshire.
- I have searched everywhere for infomation on this Esther Lawton without success - However! this may be a long-shot, there is an Esther Lawton whoh married a James Buckley at St. Chad's Parish Church in Rochdale, on 17th February 1815 and signed with an X (her mark) - The witnesses were: Octavious Augustus Lee and John Roberts (who may be a relative) - Page: 265 - Record: 794 - Both James Buckley and Esther Lawton were from Saddleworth. So it could well be that first husband James Lawton expired before 1815 and Esther (Roberts) Lawton remarried. - This is supposition but it may be worth persuing.
